Benton & Associates, Inc. has selected four new shareholders.

• Jeffery L. Long serves as a senior engineering technician based in Jacksonville. He works on projects including water and wastewater treatment plants, state highway bridges, and provides computer-aided design services and construction observation. He started in B&A in 2006.
• Adam L. Fox is a licensed water operator and designer of water treatment plant and water system improvements, working with permitting agencies to clear environmental requirements. Fox has been with B&A since 2009.
• Joshua A. Stewart is a licensed professional engineer based in the Kirksville, MO office. He provides planning, design and construction phase engineering services on infrastructure projects such as water treatment plant improvements, rural water systems, new land development and elevated water storage tanks. He has been with B&A since 2010.
• Stefanie Ballinger is a licensed professional engineer based in Jacksonville. She provides civil engineering planning, design and construction phase services in a range of infrastructure improvements including safe routes to school projects, community drainage, bus transportation facilities, sewer collection systems and wastewater treatment plant facilities. Ballinger has been in B&A since 2014.

Benton & Associates, Inc. was awarded Business of the Year (25 or more employees) at the 2019 Chamber Annual Meeting.

When the Jacksonville water treatment plant flooded in 2011, Benton and Associates helped the City and community get the water supply running again. They have since assisted the City in securing funding, including low interest loans and grants, designing a new, modern water treatment plant and provided construction administration and observation throughout construction. The new water plan is a source of not only clean water for our community but an economic development enticement for those reviewing Jacksonville as a possible locale.

Benton & Associates are an excellent supporter of their community with involvement in and contributions to the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce, Prairieland United Way, Passavant Area Hospital, JREDC, Jacksonville Main Street, Ambucs, Kiwanis, Rotary, Elks, Jacksonville Public Schools Foundation and many other civic and social service organizations.
